I got great value for my money at this lovely retreat. The room was beautifully decorated and really comfortable. The location was perfect for a quiet getaway, with stunning views and plenty of local walks. The staff, especially Alice and her family, were super friendly and welcoming.
The breakfast experience could have been improved with the addition of side tables or a small coffee table in the living room. Using the portable tea tray as a makeshift table worked fine, but having a designated spot for drinks would have been more convenient.

Very comfortable and well furnished house in a quiet location. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge and bed. Lots of outside space. Nice walks into the village, less than mile away, and easy cycling on National Cycle Route 30 nearby. Thetford Forest is about 40 minutes away.
The only issue we had was that the towel radiator in the bathroom did not work and there was a button on the cooker controls which was missing. It would have been good to have a clock in the kitchen/lounge and some kitchen towel.

The location of this hotel is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. The room was beautifully decorated and felt like a home away from home. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained, with underfloor heating to keep you cozy. The service provided by the host was exceptional, with little personal touches like fresh eggs and homemade brownies.
The missing button on the cooker controls was a minor inconvenience, but the host assured us it would be fixed promptly.

Loved the activities available nearby, especially when I nearly fell into the river while fishing. The garden and patio were perfect for enjoying the countryside, especially when the wind blew my tea away. The seating area was cozy and the towels were delightful.
Who needs a Helsinki hot tub when you can enjoy a cold, refreshing shower in the lovely bathroom?

I had a wonderful stay at a beautiful place surrounded by breathtaking scenery. The annexe to the main farmhouse was decorated to a high standard and very comfortable. The hosts, Alice and her family, were friendly and welcoming. They provided tea, coffee, milk, and even a lovely cream tea with scones, jam. The property had underfloor heating and all the amenities needed for a relaxing weekend away. It felt like a private and cozy nook where I could come and go as I pleased. I'm definitely looking forward to staying again.
Nothing bad to say. 😊
